We are Local

Schofield’s Bistro was established in 2011, and our name is based on the original name of the building – “Scofields Block” where we were located on Main Street. Since 2014, we have been home at 243 Main located steps away from the Lighthouse Festival Theatre.
Schofields was founded by Chef Michael Haywood who is a proud lifelong resident and member of the culinary community for over 30 years.
The focus of Schofields continues to be our love for the land and the rural traditions, and supportive community networks. Today Norfolk County bills itself as Ontario’s Garden, and is a prime producer of asparagus, ginseng, strawberries, blueberries, sweet corn, and a variety of other crops.
Since the turn of the century, Port Dover has been beachside escape for many residents a located on Lake Erie, Ontario’s South Coast. Port Dover has been Home to boating, golf courses, new breweries and wineries and culinary innovators.
Being located in downtown Port Dover, gives our dinners a front row seat to events such as August’s Art in the Park, SouthCoast Jazz Festival, and of course Friday the 13th.
